His Majesty and Crown Prince visit KADDB Industrial Park

KADDB Industrial Park was honoured by the visit of His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday,   His Majesty called for exploiting the potential of the King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau (KADDB) and its subsidiaries to strengthen national manufacturing and production capacities in order to meet local market and export needs.

During a visit to KADDB Industrial Park, accompanied by HRH Crown Prince Hussein, King Abdullah emphasized the need to continue research and development to manufacture ventilators and support youth who have presented ideas on producing medical equipment.

His Majesty checked on the levels and capacities to produce medical supplies, calling for elevating production.

Also during the visit, the King was shown the prototypes of ambulances, disinfection tunnels and the production lines of face shields, medical coveralls and testing kits, in addition to a simulation model that predicts infection rates, analyzes data and provides information for decision-makers.

His Majesty listened to a briefing by KADDB Chairman Mazen Kawar, who noted that the bureau is working with the private sector on its production lines of medical masks and coveralls to exchange knowledge and experience.

KADDB Vice Chairman Dr. Eng. Tareq Al-Abdullah said that KADDB has started manufacturing disinfectant tunnels to be placed at the entrances of institutions and is currently working to expand the production of medical supplies and raw material according to the vision of His Majesty.

KADDB and KIG CEO Amjad Al-Shuhail has mentioned that they also begun testing the manufacturing of ventilators that have been developed within a week, as well as the development of ambulances designed in cooperation with the Civil Defense that includes four beds and can be used to transport Coronavirus patients.
